I will be starting at SGU this coming January and I want to know what the school does in regards to summer opportunities abroad. Are they active in setting up internships for students just ending their 1st term? What kind of opportunities does the school have to offer with regard to summer work? I'm from NY and I would like the opportunity to go abroad.
BTW, great job with this forum.

most people take summers off however there is a "prague selective" that I've heard great things about. You can get to it from sgu's site, my site (http://travel/to/sgusom) or probably the easiest is go to google.com and put in sgu prague
steph and thanks.

Last summer there was a shorter trip to Honduras. They did some work in public heath and went to some clinics. But they don't pay you, so its not an internship. I'm gonna be working through a medical temp service during my breaks. Hospitals around me are always looking for phlebotomists.

and consider clinical (or lab) research- it always comes in handy residency time.
