I hope no one minds. This seems to be the quickest way to get a few answers that I need immediately.... Some of the questions may be ridiculous regarding Saba but I thought I'd throw them out there anyway....

1. Is there any storage at Saba? Think of those storage units back home that you can rent monthly? I have no idea how big our housing is and don't want to have a house full of stuff if there was a place that we could use/rent. (Think extra educational supplies, larger sizes of children's clothing, etc.)

2. What do the children most often wear? Only summer wear (eg. shorts and tshirts)? Do they ever need pants, sweaters or jackets?

3. Where do most of the moms shop for department store items? (eg. child needs new shoes, undies, etc.)?

4. Can you get rubbermaid storage containers on the island? I'm not too worried about the actual cost if I really want them, but are they available?

5. How is the garbage collected and where does it go? Do you recycle there? (I think of this often. LOL. :D )

6. How is the mail delivered? Regular 'ole letters and small packages?

7. Does the "playground" have swings and are they in working order?

I may think of other questions. We are packing up our items to ship on Tuesday so it is bringing up some topics for me. Thanks so much for your time. I truly appreciate it since I know how busy everyone is!

Arhhh! No more questions! (J/K)

1. No, no storage that I know of.

2. Mostly shorts and t-shirts, although now that it's below 80 a few are wearing sweaters and long pants

3. Sint Maarten for any serious shopping.

4. Yes, or something similar - also in Sint Maarten

5. It's collected, and it;s burned in a landfill somewhere.

6. Mail should go to the school, or you get set up with ICS - they will deliver to the school, or you can pick up.

7. No idea.

Good luck! and Welcome!

Hi chiro-md, are you shipping your items via Hassell? I am packing as well and would like to know if anyone had had a bad experience with Hassell. can you please share your experience? and let us know what to ship via them or what not to ship.
Thank you.
