Hello everyone!

Does anyone know of any medical schools in Russia that are similar to an American Osteopathic Medical School?

Thank you

I've heard it said that US osteopathic physicians are not looked on -- internationally -- with the same respect as an MD. (All you osteopaths out there, please let me know if I've got my facts wrong!). The reason for this is that there are foreign "osteopathy" schools which are more like chiropractic schools are here. So, in those countries, native-trained osteopaths are not accorded the same practice privileges as native-trained allopathic physicians.

Indeed as was said, osteopaths outside the US (UK,France,Australia,Canada,Argentina, etc.) only do manipulation.

BUt the bigger problem is NO non-US osteopathic school is approved in the US.

I agree with you here, in Australia it's tough to get a place as an DO.

However is this forum there is a DO who says otherwise:
