Hey everyone,

I'm a bit confused on how clinical rotations are assigned. Is there a list which you chose your top choices and SGU places you there or are you a bit on your own trying to figure this out? Also, how feasible is it to do all of your clinicals in one place? Living close to Manhattan, I would like to be able to get my apartment and stay there for the full two years with the possibility of staying on through residency.

Thanks so much!

3rd year core rotations are assigned by school based on your listed preferences you submit in the second half of your second year. School is fairly good in honoring your preferences. 4th year electives and subinternships you are allowed to arrange your own following school's guidelines (in affiliated hospitals... etc), or the school can arrange for you.

There are several "clinical centers" located in NYC. So it's entirely feasible to stay in NYC for the entire two years of your clinical rotation. So whether or not you move around during your clinical years is mostly up to you.
