In BRS Gross Anatomy, there is a question about "the nerves of brachiomeric origin (that supplies the striated muscle)", and the answer is trigeminal. But I have no clue what is "brachiomeric".

After some searching, I would guess that;

pharyngeal arches (in human) = branchial arches (in other animals)

... therefore, brachiomeric = originated from the pharyngeal arches??

Can somebody shed light on this???

Thanks!I believes the cranial nerves of branchiomeric origin are CNs 5, 7, 9, 10, from branchial or pharyngeal arches 1, 2, 3, 5 as I remember the 4th disappears. Hope this helps.
