I was wondering if anyone could help me, I am ariving on the island sept 2 and it seems as though most of the choice housing will be already spoken for. Is there anyone who is currently in a great place, ( close to school, clean, previous intrnet con ext) and knows that thier place or one just like it that will be avaliable, in order to put down a deposit sooner than my arrival. Would this be a bad idea, Im just nervous Ill end up in some hole

Well, lets just say that I think you maybe just maybe be able to find something when you arrive but I'm not really sure..... :roll: :?:
I live in a fairly nice place, close to campus , its like a five minute walk..but for me I would prefer something closer.
It doesn't come with internet but we got dial up on our own...
Your best bet would be to check around places close buy unless there is just no room.. but even though the housing office tells you they have no new available places for you to rent , go on your own and ask around , you may catch a 4th semester who had to stay for the comp shelf but eventually passed it so you can take their place..... Don't be discouraged if you dont find a place, you can always stay at the PBH hotel
But for me that would be my last option. They have rooms available for 600 us or so... If you need anymore info before I leave let me know.. and good luck

You will find okay housing since there is plenty of housing here. However, you are right, you may not find the "choice" housing.
It wouldn't be fair to all those who are flying in early to reserve the open apartments for you. Plus we couldn't assure that you would like what we'd choose.
