I applied a month ago, but have not taken the MCAT yet (taking them Saturday). Did you goys, that have been accepted, already take the MCAT? Congratulations on your acceptances!!

I had not taken my MCAT prior to my interview, and as it turns out, since I was applying to January 2004, I did not have t take it at all; but I didn't know that when I enrolled to take it. I went ahead and took it anyway, but didn't have to provide my scores to Ross.

Congrats and best wishes to all of you on your adventure at RUSM. If you haven't had a chance to read the document "First Few Days on the Rock", feel free to p/m me or download it if you desire your own copy. I have sent it to a few of you all ready.
If you have a parent or parents, please invite them to join me in the Ross Parents Forum. It is a place for your folks to have parent-type questions answered and anxieties calmed. Sending a kid to a third-world nation and investing in your support emotionally and financially can be draining, and we have set up the Parents Forum to help.

If you have not read "First Few Days on the Rock", I cannot recommend it highly enough! Please down load it or get a copy but read it and consider the advice (often times given lightheartedly) seriously. It is some of the best that I have seen posted here!

As for the Parents Forum, Dru has been on island and has experienced life in Dominica first hand. She knows what other parents are feeling and can give them words of advice and comfort. I hope that you will let your parents know about that forum so that they do not have to experience such a stressful situation when their child goes off to the other end of the world! (It seems like the "other end" to parents of students...and even of some facutly!)

I am 24 and from Ireland originally, but now living in chicago. I am interested in what other students are doing about financial aid, housing etc. moving from ireland to the states was one thing but moving to a tiny island in the carribean , well thats a whole other ballgame.
