Welcome to this new unofficial Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine Forum. Feel free to ask or answer questions, or to post your opinions and experiences of Spartan, whether positive or negative. Although I am the forum moderator, I am not an employee or in any other way representing the University. I recently graduated from medical school, and am simply trying to maintain a clean format for those interested in obtaining or sharing information about the University and other medically related topics. I would also like to point out that I will try to be objective with my posts and, therefore, will attempt to neither promote nor demote the University. Rather, I will try to provide honest information from my own experiences, both good and bad, and I encourage others to do the same.

If anyone should encounter a problem with any of the posters on this forum, feel free to post a message with your concerns. As many of you, I have a busy schedule and, therefore, ask for your patience and understanding as I may not be able to reply immediately. However, I will make every effort to address your concerns. In addition, I welcome all constructive criticism and any corrections to any of my statements.

Welcome and enjoy the forum!

futurestudentmay03:

I know it might seem confusing that I am both the Moderator of this forum and the Administrator of the website as a whole. This is because I have not found a suitable replacement for this forum yet. In the early days of this website, I was assigned as the forum moderator for many fora until we filled those spots (many can attest to that). I have someone in mind for Spartan, but he is just beginning at Spartan this May and I didn't want to overburden him before he got settled into school.

I started out at ValueMD, just as many of you, as a user of the old Network54 website. I saw the great service that Hanson was providing on the old site and offered my services. When we began this upgraded ValueMD website, I joined the ValueMD team as an Administrator and have been so ever since. We are still in the early stages of ValueMD, so the Administrators have been very actively involved making constant adjustments to the site. However, we are getting very close to a time where we feel that the site is ready to run on its own and we will play a lesser role and dedicate more time to our primary jobs.....medicine :D . We will always monitor and maintain the site, but hopefully this will soon require less of our time. Previous to ValueMD, I dedicated most of my free time to a variety of voluneer services....so I would love to get back to serving my community after I feel I have fulfilled my commitments here.

Because of my objective role on this website, I'd prefer not to get into any specifics about my personal life (although some privately already know) so that users will not assume that I am being biased towards my alma mater...I hope you'll understand.

Hope this clears things up a bit and I hope you are enjoying the site!
