buying a house on OPT... possible??

Is it possible to buy a house while I'm on Optional Practical Training (OPT):confused:

I don't think your immigration status has anything to do with the ability to purchase property in the US. In some countries, you do need to be a citizen or resident to buy property, but not so in the US. However, there might be subsequent problems with your visa status if the INS finds out you already own a house in the US. They might think that you have no intention of returning to your own country, and might deny a subsequent visa application or renewal.
