I'm mostly concerned with the responces of the entering class of Sept '03.
Why did you choose AUC over ROSS?
Looking fwd to commin to AUC but this may resolve my doubts.

First I thought that AUC was cheaper than Ross - this is NOT true. Howver, this was not too important in my decision - I mean what's another 20K if you've already borrowed 190K??
I didn't like the fact that Ross changed ownership like 2 months after my acceptance and never mentioned a word about it in my 2 hour interview. I didn't like the fact that the new owner would be DeVry Univ., after seeing their techinical school online courses advertised on TV at 1:00 in the afternoon. Not saying anything bad about them, it just didn't turn me on. Didn't really like the pics of their campus or the idea that their was no university housing. And most of all didn't like the class size. These are just my opinions - please don't be offended if you disagree.
I initially liked MUA best, because of their small class size and supposed affiliation with SABA, but when I found that MUA is not "SABA on a nicer island", I kicked that plan to the curb.
Settled on AUC because it is on a nice island, is well established, and people speak highly of it. I didn't want to go to a school and have to worry about if I would be able to practice in CA or not. Classes will be pretty big, but not huge, and their will always be something to do the few hours we have away from studying.
Bottom line, both were better options compared to the alternative - staying home a year and restudying physics and chem. for round two with the MCAT. Its all up to you and you can achieve your goals on either island. I do not feel that one will offer a better education than the other; if I did, I'd choose that school for sure. Best of luck and again, just offering my opinion, not trying to tic anyone off.
Best Luck,

Probably my own fault, but one critique of AUC - all the damn deposits! $1000 for admission, $400 for initiation, and $1500 for housing. This isn't to mention $$$ for your plane ticket, books, and many other things (ie. passport, vaccines, stuff for the move ...). Just a heads up, be ready with some cash!

You're moving to a foreign country, keep that in mind. Moving is NEVER cheap, but in this instance, it's gonna proly be the most expensive move of your life! At least in regard to most of our incomes.... :)

Spend some time, go through the old threads. Do a little research. This topic has been covered several times. Each school has pros and cons, and you need to pick which ones best suit you. The education is roughly the same, the pass rate on the boards is the same. There is no "right" school for everyone. G
