It was my second time. On the NBME2, i had 211, so I think I might have gotten a score closer to that except on the actual USMLE, i ran out of time in block 6 because I didn't keep track of time while doing calculations. So I had to randomly select answers without even reading the questions for the last 10 questions. And when I got to the final question, I ran out of time to even select any answer, so that was left blank. grrreat. but I thank God that I passed. It would've been nice to pass with a higher score, but oh well. So, on this second time around, I studied for six months. It was a tough time since all I did was stay in my room and study all day most of the days. The only time I went out was for church on Sundays and grocery shopping when food ran out. I'm not recommending that everyone choose my method, but that's how I needed to study.

As for what I covered, here's a list of it. (1x = means I went thru it once. I obviously planned to go thru it more than once, but it never happens that way for me.)

kaplan q bank -70% - 80% only because i've done it before when i studied the first time around. so i knew it wasn't a true assessment of myself.
path brs 1x
FA 1x
micro HY 1x
tommyk 1x (this took a long time to go thru. much longer than i expected.)
road map pharm 1x (this book hardly explain the drugs. but it's a good brief review.)
pharm pre-test 500 ques 1x
cd test 1 = 39/50; 2= 35/50; 3=34/50 overall 72%
Robbins Q book (pretty good)
Pharm Recall 1x
Micro pretest 500 ques 1x
kaplan videos - mainly just the pathology and physiology
kaplan books and q book (didn't go thru all, but covered pathology)
web path questions 1x (******EXCELLENT******* TOTALLY RECOMMEND!)
physiology brs 1x (AWESOME BOOK. IT'S SO CONCISE AND YET SO MEATY)
lippinkott pharmacology 1x (Good, but it takes soooo long to go thru. and the questions are not challenging at all.)
pathopysiology for boards and wards 1x (hard book to go thru. too much stuff. i hardly remember anything in it. i feel like i wasted my time reading it)
NBME1 (again--because i took it the first time around) untimed 6 weeks before exam: 420 = 198
NBME2 timed 1 day before exam: 470 = 211
USMLE : 203/83

Well, folks, THANK YOU to those of you who have posted your experiences and study methods and encouragement for people to motivate them to continue studying. the forum really kept me going at times when it was rough. Press on! to those who still need to study. You can do it. Just know that it's not about covering everything completely, but it's about really absorbing and memorizing the IMPORTANT stuff. and i gotta tell ya, i got this one same question on both exams and i got it wrong both times... which was: which part of the GI is retroperitoneal - and i looked it up after and it's the duodenum. so there's a freebee to anybody who's read my mumbo jumbo up to this point.

If you have any questions please do post it up in reply and I will try to get back to you as soon as I see it.
