I took my exam Wednesday October 5 and have been trying the IWA/OASIS trick for the past week. Up until yesterday I was getting the message that I'm already registered. Now today it is letting me register again! When I check OASIS it says my score was reported yesterday Oct 26.
Please this is my third time taking it and last time I missed passing by one point! This time I felt much more confident after the exam and don't see how I could have possibly failed. Do I have any hope of receiving a passing score in the mail despite IWA letting me register?

If your score is already been reported and it lets you register w/o giving you the red message that you already passed, it doesn't look good. But there has been some reports of people actually passing even though oasis lets you register, so don't give up yet. Good luck buddy.

Go figure, still waiting on my step 1 results. next week will be my 6th week waiting for my marks. It was reported finally and its letting me sign up for usmle step 1 again. thats weird... My score wasn't reported yet a couple of weeks ago and I tried to sign up for the step 1 again and it let me.

I went through all the Kaplan books twice. Did Blueprints Internal Med, OB/Gyn and Peds. Also did USMLE Step 2 Secrets, Boards and Wards, First Aid and all the USMLE World and Kaplan Qbank Questions.

I just realized this post is on the Step 1 forum. I posted here originally because I wanted info on if the OASIS trick works. I already passed my Step 1 which is supposed to be harder but now I just failed my Step 2 for the third time. I don't understand.

I see your problem. It's information overload. You are using wayyyyy too many sources. Stick with one or two sources and read them as many times as you can instead of relying on 4-5 sources and everything u read become all jumbled up. Personally I hate Blueprint b/c these books have lots of errors. Stick with Kaplan and Usmleworld and do the questions or read these books as many times as you can instead of just once. You have got to understand what you read too. And understand the what the authors are trying to teach you when you're doing questions.

I scored 199 on Step 1.

What is the best OB/Gyn book to use?

OB/GYN Blueprints is the best to use for Step 2.

I am sorry to hear about your failing Step 2. I found that Step 2 was as hard as Step 1. Step 1 had all those isolated facts one has to remember. Step 2 was very very grey in areas. Like the next step in management etc.... this differs because medicine is still an art. Some of the questions would ask you what do you do next. Well sometimes it included all three at the same time. Who knows... it is like, how many fingers am I holding up behind my back?

Good luck.
