What about the Movies??

I know at one time there was a movie theater called "Triple reals" or something like that. I went to their website recently and it said they closed. Are there any other movie theaters on Grenada? Thanks!

Thanks!well...there's the "Reno" theater but I heard that's open air and sucks you know what. There's also the PD lab on friday and sat nights. You're better off just renting DVDs or bringing a bunch down with ya.

there is one in downtown st georges...but u would have to take a reggae bus to get there...
in any case lotsa ppl dl movies...just find someone and put it on a flash drive and its urs...(most movie files are at least 700mb large, so getting a 1gig flashdrive isnt a bad idea)

It's too bad Triple Reels is gone - it was a quaint little place. The time I went there was a bat in the theatre. Sure we could've all got rabies but still....good times.

Definatly cruise by blockbuster/hollywood video and check out their previously viewed DVDs esp the sale ones-some people will do anything for DVDs

I use Bittorrent to download the new movies, plus they often sell copies of new movies at the fruit market in St. George (sometimes they're a camcorder in a movie theater, but still).

They also have a video rental store here in Grand Anse that has a pretty good selection; it's no Blockbuster but it's not bad.

yeah, i woud definitely agree on the bringing down of dvds and a 1gig flashdrive. they rent out at the mall and there is another store in the round houses, so there is definitely a lot of movies floating around...


it's more often that you have more movies than the time to watch them!

btw, steph, what is this 'vhs' of which you speak? :)can't stop myself....I think VHS is something that docs used before penicillin was discovered...
