Welcome to SMU!! Congratulations on your acceptance!!:p

Chances are that you will start January's anatomy class in the same place as we started August's anatomy class. Start with the upper and lower limbs, and best wishes! You are going to do very well; Dr. S is an excellent anatomy teacher. Welcome to SMU!! Great to have you!!:D :D

Yes Dr. S is a surgeon from Canada. He is really really really good!!
He is very helpful if you have questions and his test question are all board relevant. He brings in many clinical scenarios to tie in concepts.

Welcome to SMU

I read over some material before I started to get "re-aquainted" with the material. I think we went over all of what I studied in one lecture. haha... Dr. S is very good, and very fast. :D

Hey Jtp,

I Met Some Of The Guys @ The Marriot, Arrived Just In Time For Hurricane Wilma. The Sun Began To Shine When I Was Leaving For Hawaii Via Miami. Eb Said You're A Nice Guy. Thanks For The Site Of Umsom. Makes It Kind Of Fun. I Am Coming In January, Met Dr. -----h, Nice Guy.
I Do Declare, That Grand Cayman Is Like Southern Oahu, Hawaii, Only More Valuable Land.

I've Been Struggling With Brs/chung/series. I Though The Smu Sga Site Is Helpful Too With Lots Of Information For Semester 1.

I Hope The WEST Texan Rn Gets To This Thread. NET ANATOMY AIN'T TOO SHABBY EITHER. I THINK I AM MORE OF A VISUAL LEARNER; THOSE NERVES ARE GETTING ON MY NERVES!! BUT VERY ESSENTIAL LEARNIN FOR ASSESSMENTS IN THE DAYS TO COME CAN'T OVERLEARN TOO MUCH IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

I'm Open To Any Other Advice; I've Got Moores, Rrs Series, Any Other Gems To Help A Senior Citizen??
Anything Will Be Appreciated.

BY THE WAY, THE GANG AT THE MARRIOT SAID THAT THE SEMESTER WILL BEGIN WITH THE BACK?? PERHAPS, IT'S LIKE THROW THE DART AND LETS START THERE???

Mahalo Again,

Aloha

Perhaps Netters flashcards

Would you say that these flashcards are good?

Yeah, we did do the back first. It didn't take long, and I think he only had 5 or 6 back questions at the MOST on the test. The other 44 or so came from UL and LL.

There are very helpful for people with no anatomy background.

Thanks, I actually just finished my Anatomy class in June and I'm still fresh in it so I won't get these cards.

The cards are great when you are looking at the cadaver for review. Sometimes students give you wrong information (unintentionally?) about certain structures, the cards are a quick reference. I used another type of anatomy cards. I punch holes through them and took them with me to anatomy lab, flew right through many structures. I highly recommend getting some flashcards, will come in handy for the lab exam.

I just picked up the Netters Flash Cards yesterday and got the Big Moore today (only $20). Guess I'll start reading the back out of there now.

Is this for your personal reference because I did not see big or baby Moore listed as required text at the University bookstore.

The title of it is Clinically oriented Anatomy. It is actually listed as a required text at the book store.

Though onesolo already has Clinically oriented Anatomy, I would not advice any student to buy this book. It will not come off your shelf.

I was advised not to purchase the Clinical Anatomy Book by Moore.Several students said it was not worth the money because the only referred to it about 1 or 2 times the whole semester.

Yeah I was told not to purchase it as well but it was only $20 on Amazon.com. Figured I'd spend that amount of money on junk between now and then. If it wer it's regular price I wouldn't have done it.
