Hey, im looking to get my ticket for next term and cant get ahold of Regina. I called that 800 number listed on the SGU site and it says the number isnt active or something and she isnt replying to my email. I know what flight I want, but just need to find out how to get the coupon. Will be taking AA to JFK then Air Jamaica straight to Grenada, bypassing allllll of the caribbean islands. I know on the SGU site it says the AA number you can call if using the star profile, but who do you call with Air Jamaica to get it? Is it possible for the AA people to book you the Air Jamaica ticket too? How much of a discount did you guys get with this? Denver to JFK about $260 and JFK to Grenada about $1100 right now. Thanks.

taken from the SGU website:
AA Student Discount: This year's Star Number is 0235TT.
The 2006 Star File #0235TT American Airlines
The Student Index Number for American Airlines & Air Jamaica in
2005 is - 17437
The Student Index Number for American Airlines & Air Jamaica in
2006 - 18291
If using the America's Star Number, then you must call America's Group & Meeting Service Desk at:
800-433-1790.

there is also more info on that sgu website, but it would violate TOS if i post it. u can access it via MY SGU under "student air travel"

Yeah I saw that, will that work for Air Jamaica also? Or will I have to call 2 separate people and make 2 separate transactions?

i think u would need to make 2 separate calls and its 2 different transactions.
If you are satisfied with the flight schedule and the cost using the school codes, then just call the airline and book your own flights. This is the same service you would get from R if she called back. You run the risk of not getting a seat on the flight if you wait too long.

I've been an SGU student for 4 terms now. i called regina to purchase my 1st ticket to grenada last august. guess what? i am still waiting for her to return my phone call or e-mails. From my experience you can't rely on anything from this school.
do yourself a favor and go to expedia or travelocity to purchase your ticket

Alright I got a hold of Regina after hours. Apparently she does most of her booking after hours, so after 6pm. Round trip fare she says is always $885 total including all fees from JFK to Grenada. Beats $1100 online. Glad its done.

She is by far the worst travel agent I have ever used in my life. Do yourself a favor and change to someone else. You'll be happy that you did.
