1. Pretty big. More than one building for sure.

2. The number of students stays the same because they admit as people graduate.

3. The school is not racial. It is a thing, not a person.

4. School is 27 years old

5. Both women and men attend

6. What exactly is a peep?

7. Plenty of life on the island. Both plant and animal.

The smart thing to do before asking questions like this is to take a look at the school's website.

www.rossmed.edu (http://www.rossmed.edu)

haha quite funny!

But thanks for the un-helpful info...:)

I don't think I could find intimate info at the school website!!

Now for the other people, your honest un-humorous answer will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks ya'll

1. The school is as big as my elementary school. Not that big, but suffices for it's purposes.
2. It depends...when I was on the island nearly 300 per term, but now it has dwindled down
3. Lots of middle easterns and Indians, Nigerians, African American, then come caucasians, russians, few asians
4. varies...but most are 23-30
5. about 55% men 45% women when I was there
6. not that many hotties, but you'd be surprised how hotter people look after a few semesters on the island...haha jk
7. life on the island includes: school, studying, sleep, valuemd, watching all the movies on tv, watching pirated movies on your laptop, and going to coconuts after a mini. there's so many things to do on campus and tons of clubs to join...it's very much like high school. fun, but makes you cringe at the same time

3. more indians then u willl ever want to see in your life lol.
6. forget the chicks at school, complete waste of time. ide recommend taking a trip to caracas venezuela to see the most beautiful and friendly women in the world. its the only place where you'll see gorgeous women dating fat slobs. when i was there, liat had cheap trips to caracas from dominica via st. lucia.

"and going to coconuts after a mini"
What's coconuts and what's a mini?

Coconuts is actually a small oceanfront hotel where some students stay. They also have a restaurant and a bar that some students frequent. However, most people also call the beach near coconuts the coconuts beach.

The Mini what we call the exams at Ross.

After each mini the University and the SGA sponsor a big party with free food and drink, free watersports (jetski, windsurfing, waterskiing, tubing, and there is often intro scuba sessions too). Its a lot of fun. It is one day to just relax get away from studying.

So living in a hotel is an option for housing, instead of getting an apartment?

Dru

Coconuts have apartments.

When I began, class size was also around 300. Many of the students in the first few semesters are of poor quality. As they fall out (by being expelled for cheating, drug usage, fighting, or other criminal acts), or if they fail, the better students remain, yet some fall thru the cracks for whatever reason. It will be hard to see many of them get thru all semesters on the island, thru miami, and then Step 1 (which is a HUGE filter). A few still manage to dwindle-about after step1, but they are few and are still much better than the bunch you'd see in first semester who get knocked out after first.

Girls start to not look so bad near the ends of the semesters, especially since you get used to seeing them every damn day, and there aren't many locals around campus. Also, whatever was fresh in your mind from the US upon recent arrival to the island has worn off near the end. Good luck.

Coconuts is a restaurant/bar with rental cottages on the beach. My kid lived there first semester, walked to school along the beach. Adopted the owner's dogs who slept in cabinets on the porch and were very protective.

p.s. My kid obtained much more modern/updated accommodations after first semester by renting an apt in a new bldg.

This first semester class is over 300, getting smaller, I dont know what you are talking about, Ross is going to start increasing the size of incoming classes again, I have to do all my studying in my apartment bc the the classrooms and lb are completly full

well things on these message boards sure haven't changed since the last time I was on here. Been busy studying.

You have 3 minis per semester and a final in addition to lab exams and PBL. We just had a mini today and I can tell you that I definately won't be among that over exaggerated group (that fails or get kicks out) that some negative failure mentioned earlier in this thread ... A good majority of people make it through with no problems at all-- medical school is not rocket science, it is just a lot of work..

To all of you who haven't decided where to study yet: don't believe most of the crap you read on here, as you only get a few skewed opinions and misguided beliefs about the school from people who really don't represent who actually goes here.

And you do, right bigshot. You seem to be going off on a tangent, all I was saying is the new dean at Ross is increasing the class size again, unlike Dean O who was tring to decrease the size of the incoming class, your talking about you will not be the one failing, thats good for you bro, Im happy for you

Thanks guys for your asnwers.

I asked similar questions in the SGU forum and people got really offended by me and they don't want to disclose the facts...what is up with that?

Are you intentionally trying to start something? Look at the thread...they've answered your questions. You've even thanked them for answering your questions. Why perpetuate your notion that they don't disclose "fact"?

They did not answer the questions till someone nicely put it for me after a while...

My questions were simple questions and they were digressing.
People here werent for the most part....thats all I'm saying.:)

I'm not starting anything, just thought that it was funny how I started a up roar with a set of innocent questions.. :)
Thats all...

With respect,
