I had a letter from a doc, but I agree with the above poster that you do not require one. I doubt they would pass up a good candidate just becuase they didnt have a letter from an MD. Not everyone has shadowed a doctor before entering med school, and being an EMT would probably lend more experience to you than someone who shadowed a doc here and there and had a letter.

The only requirement for your letters of recommendation are that one comes from a professor.
