any current students besides WCB22 like to say something about thins school.
I have posted so many threads about this school and WCB22 seems to be the only one replying... which makes me think that not alot of people are going there.

Would any current students like share the experiance at this school???? PLEASE!

I am on that list as accepted student as well :)

not sure, people here just aren't into the forum really. i've asked classmates why not, some don't bother with it, don't have time (or make time).

to me it's like a hobby. i liked keeping updated on things. although i still wake up around 4am each day for USMLE study (for 4 hours) class 9am - 6:30pm, i still like making time to chat here.

but i agree, people should post here more. especially now that there's a forum here, neat.

WCB22! thanks for asking your classmates, and i really thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the information you have provided us about your school.... But i need more than one person's opinion about this school... and so far, that is not working out so well...
Here, i see people telling me about CAHSU who dont even go there and that is not HELPING either...

I DO NOT want people to tell me what they think about this school when they are not going there... so here is what i am asking everyone who replies:

1. DO NOT WASTE MY THREAD.
2. NO NOT REPLY IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CAHSU
3. DO NOT REPLY IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TOPIC (CAHSU: any current students?) TO SAY...

Thank you for your reply modavi2!
However you did not answer the question of how the living conditions are in Juarez and how does the school prepare you for Step 1 at CAHSU?
Does the Administration really care about their students or you are left on your own...

OK! since there is no one but me and WCB22 saying anything about CAHSU, i am forced to assume that it is because of one of the following reasons:

1. There are not too many people going to this school.
2. People there at CAHSU are not aware of VMD
3. They dont have internet access
4. The school does not help them so they have to do a lot of individual studies which does not give them time to do ANYTHING other than just satudy...

i dont know... where are all the current students... Administrationtold me that they have 35 students on Belize campus and about 60 in Juarez...

Out of 95 students, ONLY 1 replies/says anything about his school...
I think i'm going to have to change my mind and go with either MUA-Nevis or SMU eventhough CAHSU is closer to home, i do think i would be a good reason for me to waste my 4 years....

I hope this school is not an example of "You get what you paid for..."

Multiple accounts are against the terms of service. The system will automatically ban all accounts. I've gone ahead and overridden the ban on your original account (LatinLover_houston), so please only use that one.

i remember back when i used to read these forums as well when i started, and mainly all it did was create such unnecessary hostility towards administration, teachers, other students, it was just stupid; and for your reasoning of asking where everyone is, it's probably just that, they're not on this anymore, because as most people know, this is no official means of assessing the school, i'm not saying it's perfect, by far it's not, but if your goal is to get through school, do rotations, finish and get residency, then you have an option available to you at this school; hell it's no st. george, nor ross or auc, but hey, this is all common info, so save yourself the agony of trying to make a decision on what others base because everyone will always have a diff opinion, some bad, some good, it's your choice, your money, your future....

Hey Caribgrad! are you doing your doing your resid. or clin.?

Which state are you in... ?

what was your score on Step 1?

how many students took step 1 along with you?

How many passed?

What area of medicine will you be practicing in?

[quote=p_in_da_wind]Hey Caribgrad! are you doing your doing your resid. or clin.? neither; graduated last year, in process of testing

Which state are you in... ? what difference would that make out of curiosity

what was your score on Step 1? n/a; bout to take step 2 in few days

how many students took step 1 along with you? who knows, but i know of a handful who had taken it during rotations, and a friend is in residency in FP, some others in IM

How many passed? i don't like to ask as i wouldn't like people asking me, and i'm sure no one likes to admit if they failed, only if they did really well do they blab to everyone

What area of medicine will you be practicing in? well dear, back when anes was not so amg happy, that was a goal, but now it seems impossible, so backup is IM/Psych

the main point is with any of these schools, how much you put in is what you're going to get out; if possible, yea def do rotations in the states, if not (like many of my friends did) was to do them in mexico and study simultaneously for the tests; or even split them up, do your core clinicals in the states and your choice electives and maybe the others back in mx where u can study and do clinicals; the only thing i wish i would have done was take step 1 back when before rotations, i was planning to go to atl to do core rotations in states, for which u had to take step 1, and i tried some time off to study, but wasn't getting anywhere, so then i decided to go and at least finish the rotations in the meanwhile; now i'm taking step 2 first because it's what i remember, it's all applied stuff, so it makes sense, step 1 mat just seems so dry, i've taken kaplan for both (after cahsu's course, but just this past year so it's been like 3 years since i saw that stuff) and i think if one studies and can get a hold of this information enough to pass those tests, it's all good. essentially these schools want good step scores and if possible do rotations in the states for some exp (which makes for a lot easier step 2 i hear), other than that, dont know what else to tell you, sorry if i kept on blabbing, good luck ;)

Is modavi2 the other name of competion? The only reason anyone would attack like this would be if they had some thing to gain !!!
The other reason would be if they had failed classes!! which one is it?
