Jinan University in Guangzhou also offers an English program, and they are quite reputable, in that they were originally established inside an International School. There are quite a few students from Hong Kong and Taiwan who go there. It's also been around for about 100 years. Their English program has been around for about 5-6 years, I believe.

I know there are a few others places that offer English programs: China Medical University (They've had one since the 80s) in Shenyang, Suzhou University in Suzhou, and Shandong University in Jinan (not related to the one in Guangzhou).

Feel free to PM me if you have questions - I've done a bit of research on these Chinese schools, and thought about going there.

Well i am a student of Dalian Medical University ,,, this university is progressing towards good and high standards in August 2007 the university shall be transfered to its new campus situated at sea shore beach area occuping up to a space of 4-5 Sq. KM
This university is combining with Dalian Forgin Langauge University , Dalian Techinical University and Dalian Technology University and creating a big university which will be counted as the 35 most best universities in china . with the American Architeacture and Design ..

Shenyang is definitely not the third largest city in China. Do you really think it is bigger than Tianjin? That is pretty basic information to get wrong. Everyone, be careful who you listen to.

Dalian is the 4th larget city and 6th expensive city of china...

dalian is hitting standards right now dude ... just hold on for 2007 august ...

This kind of nonsense really isn't worth my time. If you truly live here you should try to represent the country a little better than you are now. I stayed in Dalian for two nights and travelled around the city. If you really live there then how could you possibly think it is the fourth biggest city in China? Do you really know that little about the city and country in which you are living? Dalian is nowhere near as big as Shenyang. It's amazing people don't check such readily confirmable facts before posting.

There r four main cities in China. Shenyang does not come in as the 3rd largest. After Shanghai and Beijing.. Tianjin comes in 3rd or 4th place. I dont think Shenyang is one of the 4 largest cities.

Transfers are sometimest possible between schools in China. Have you contacted the school? I don't know anyone at that school but I would guess at best, at any school here, you would be lucky to transfer into second year. You can get exempted from some courses. You should definitely contact them yourself, though.
