Hey guys!

I got my proxy server for the on-campus internet set up for my PC just fine, but I'm having trouble getting it working on my Mac, with OS X Tiger. I went to network options and made a new profile for "school" and had it do a Web HTTP Proxy server, but it's not seeming to work.

Any advice?

Crazy stuff, this island!!

download firefox..

no need to tinker around with the system settings. Inside firefox preferences, there is a place for the settings.

good luck.

Hey.. Cool, I got it :) Thank you. I ended up having the last three numbers of the proxy server's IP wrong. I configured it in System Preferences so I can just pick a profile between school and work.

Now the thing is finding out how to get stuff from the N-drive .. :(

THe only problem I had with using the system preferences to change the proxy was that my itunes would then stop working if I was to use the "sharing feature."

so in the end, I just leave the Firefox settings with the school proxy server and the system settings were all normal thus I have firefox for school and Safari for everywhere else.

never had to use the N drive sorry.
