My husband and I flew in last night from Miami through Puerto Rico to SXM and had no delays and no lost luggage! Yipee!!! By the way, we LOVE St. Maarten. It's so beautiful here, and drinks are affordable too!

Wow, we've really demonized San Juan on this board. It's not that bad folks, and when you leave the island through San Juan, San Juan is like moving from rural Montana to New York.

I don't know why, I've been through SJU at least 12 times and never had had a problem. G

My flight was overbooked and half the flight's luggage didn't make it to SXM. Huge line at SXM to claim lost luggage. Poor planning on American Eagle's part. I guess I should be more patient since they only recently started to fly to SXM and probably haven't worked out all the bugs....oh wait, they've been flying to SXM for years......Nevermind. :D

I just lived in Belmopan, Belize for a year. I give it the year I'll be here.

Spent 2nights once living in ANU on the way out of Montserrat. All courtesy of LIAT and a delayed flight . Subsequently bumped off 4 straight American airlines flights from ANU to SJU
Still, antigua was like Manhattan compared to Montserrat, but I can't say sleeping on a bench is so great.
Nachos in SJU airport, after first semester in Montserrat are to date the best thing I've ever eaten.

Sorry, but not too much sympathy for being stranded in either SJU or SXM
