For those of us who would rather water ski to Saba than fly, is there no-frills boat traffic between Miami and Saba or St. Maarten?

Not that I'm aware of...but I've heard that individual people can travel around by freighter in the past...you might google for courier travel or something like that (that's where you ride on a plane or boat for reduced cost and personally deliver a package for a company). Search Google, look for forums for people that do that, I've seen them. I'm not sure it would be worth all the trouble though, just to go to Saba.

I did see one person post on the AUC forum some time back that said he and his family rode on a cruise ship to St. Martin from Miami at nearly the same cost plane tickets would have cost them. That would include a lot of frills, though...

Hey here is how to get to SABA by boat. Take a cruise ship to St Maarten and then take the boat from St Maarten to Saba. Done deal.

woh...that's pretty far to travel. on a cruise ship, it might be fine, but probably a little rough on a frieghter.

I don't think cruise ships even stop off in saba so the only way would be to go to st. maarten and then catch a smaller boat to saba (wooh...get ready for some rough waters though...make sure u take scopalamine).

good luck!
