Is it difficult (as to actually be allowed to do so) to get rotations at arrowhead?

In the Ross handbook it lists this hospital as having MD rotations but I thought it was affiliated with Western University (for DO's).
Anybody know anything or rotated through this location?
I have heard from a friend that they are no longer allowing Ross students to rotate through there, at least for surgery.

Ross just lost affiliation with Arrowhead ...
A bunch of Ross students in CA with scheduled rotations at Arrowhead had rotations abruptly canceled.
Don't bother contacting them for any rotations..
We do not know why this happened :(

Arrowhead is a DO hospital. It is likely that LECOM who recently became an afil here outbid ross for this site.

Do you guys believe that this will be a growing trend? there are 20 Do schools in operation right now, with about 10 set to open in the next 2 to 3 years. Will DO schools continue to out bid carribean schools for rotation centers?

A quick look over their website will let you know that all of their rotatiosn are not DO. Just to name one, the Family Medicine residency at Arrowhead is not DO.

That's actually the only ACGME department they have at Arrowhead (FP) ..
For MD training purposes, it doesn't really matter if certain departments are DO - as long as the hospital has an FP ACGME program, which is why all Arrowhead rotations were fair game ..
Regardless of its DO-ness, Ross students are no longer able to rotate at Arrowhead, which is an modern excellent county facility with a diverse patient population, optimal for training. I have been aware some affiliated hospitals arbitrarily abandon their contracts when a US school, ACGME or DO, wants to affiliate. I assume it just comes down to $$$, a business decision. Unless there is more politics to this game than I am aware of..
