I am interested in the Humanitarian Program that is offered in Senegal. Could you give me information in regards to this program, such as, how long would a student spend in Sengeal doing humanitarian work, and when during medical school do the students participate in this program? Thanks

You will have to contact the Admin on that one, the one student I know of is in clinicals or graduated already.

You need to talk to Dr. L. He will set it up with you. You can do it as long as you want to. Make sure it will not interfere with your school time. It will not give you extra school credit for volunteering. You have to be atleast on your 4th semester or with good medical backround. You will treating patients so, you need to atleast know how to put an IV, take blood pressure and know the physical diagnosis. Also, very important you need to know the universal precaution(just to protect yourself). Also, if you can bring your own alcohol swabs and gloves. They will provide the food and place to stay. The rest will be out pocket.
