Let's say God and all His angels smiles upon me and I go to medschool whether it be Ross or some other (probably Caribbean). If I joined the Army Reserves would they help pay for Foreign Medical Schools?
Also, has anyone ever thought about doing a stint with the Doctors Without Borders? It sounds VERY demanding, but looks very rewarding.
And finally, a question for the guys: How are the girls in the Dominican?

State,
To my knowledge( and based on what my interviewer said) no one has ever gotten funding for a foreign school. Although, I have not heard of doctors w/out borders, what's their deal?

Doctors without Borders is a French (let's not start laughing yet) organization. Think of it as kind of a hardcore Peace Corps for medical professionals. They go into disaster zones, war zones, etc.. wherever they need medical help.

None of the US reserves or guard will pay for a foriegn med school. I am in the reserves and have researched this to no end trying to wheel and deal everyone. The only thing that they will do at this point in time (as you know different politics breed different policies) is tuition reimburse after you become an MD (NOT just pass step 1 as many people think) if you give them X amount of years. The guard is a bit different because the policies vary from state to state. I have lists of criteria from all 50 states (as I said I have been researching this to no end) and all of the reserves including the USPHS (the Coast Guard docs). PM me if you need the info.
