Is it true that the Caymanians are not fond of SMU med students? It appears that at least some of the realtors have to "inform" the renters of properties that the potential renter is a "medical student". Apparently, from what I gather, this has negative implications. Can anyone expand upon this? Deny it? Affirm it?

Hey JTP,
I think when you use a broad statement like "the Caymanians are not fond of SMU students" it is false. I've had very few problems with any Caymanians weather they like us or not. They've always been nice to me, and I've always returned the favor.
As far as the realtor thing goes, I really can't say as far as the realtors go. However, I know that there are some landlords who won't rent to SMU students because they had a bad experience for whatever reason. The good thing is that I've heard of very few of these places/landlords. I really don't think you'll see it as a problem when looking for a place in Cayman. Hope this helps! Take care.
