For those of you who have already been renting on Grand Cayman, can you please refer me to a realtor who can back their promises? I had a promise of a contract from one with a place that met my needs, but the realtor rented to someone else. I feel quite anxious about not having a place to live, especially since it's three weeks before classes start, I have quit both of my jobs, I have finished my current lease in the US, and my wife essentially has done the same. Please pm or email me with the names of any realtor(s) that can deliver what they promise.

Thanks!

I would suggest trying Island Rentals or Ritch Realty. If you send me an email directly, I will be happy to give you the contact information that I have for them.

We are having the same problem with housing because we have a small pet and nobody we approached so far accepts it.

But try www.properties.ky

You can actually talk to a person.

Hey Yall,

We got our place through Remax rentals here. Try them..they were pretty good. Also, just try www.buysell.ky (http://www.buysell.ky) that's where the remax person posted the apt for rent. Also, try www.grandcaymanislands.com/rentals (http://www.grandcaymanislands.com/rentals) Also, there are a few rooms for rent on the SMU web forum that I know are not taken b/c some of them are people I know. The cayman observer generally tends to have a big rental section on the weekend...I"ll see if i can get my hands on a copy of that this weekend..maybe that'll help....PM me on monday and if i got a copy of the observer i'll try and scan it in and send it to whom ever PMs me.

Hope that helps

For realtors, try them all, but it is not easy to rent a place from abroad. monitor the newspapers too www.caycompass.com (http://www.caycompass.com) and www.caymannetnews.com (http://www.caymannetnews.com)
Try the Cayman Chamber for info www.caymanchamber.com (http://www.caymanchamber.com)
I have contacted all the realtors for their listings but most of them have refused...
Good luck, but once again, it would be easier to rent something while you are here.

I just asked that question about a place to live there, but I just found the answer here:)

It looks like it's really hard for students to find a place!
What about school's facilities?
