Just wanted to start a thread to assess who the students going back to maine will miss most...

I will start by saying Dr. T (Clinical skills) is an amazing guy. I went to speak with him outside of class numerous times and each time he took time out of his day to sit and discuss just about anything.

As a recent SMU grad and now M.D he surely knows his material and best of all is overflowing with excitement to teach it to us. Whatmore can a medical student want in his instructor?

Well either way his sincerity, good intentions and genuine nature will be missed. I hope you guys take advantage of this great teacher.

I miss Dr. A (Neuro prof and Pharm prof) he is one of the best professors I have ever had at any level. He just has a way of explaining thing in his own unique way that makes it stick.

Im glad he won a few awards at the white coat ceremony...it was certainly well deserved.

Its ashame he is going to be retiring at the end of this semester. Although, I hear SMU has prospective profs from NYU medical and one from Dartmouth on the wings.

Good luck everyone on finals!!

Best prof is Dr. N (Micro), this guy takes complicated things and makes it simple so you can understand them. Thanks Dr. N you are the best.

Worst prof is Dr. H (psych), this guy is from  just like his name. I won't be missing this guy. He is an arrogant, selfish, sinlge minded person. You ask him a question and he just walks away from you. When you say hi in the hall way he sticks his chin up and looks the other way. Why is he the chair for student affairs? I don't know, but I think he's in the wrong department.

I think what Dr. H talks about in Psych is interesting, he does not seem to read directly from the slides and its a different aspect of medicine that we will encounter. I enjoyed Dr. P because she simplified what we needed to know and on her tests it was exactly what she told us to study for. Dr. N is a pretty funny guy and his stories are kinda comical. Dr. V in second semester was probably one of the best prof. I have ever had as he did a excellent job breaking down things and keeping my interest.
