So I'm really torn between these two schools right now. Not sure which one I should take the acceptance to. I do not intend to start this thread to trash one school over the other. I will probably also start the exact same thread on the Ross board to get a fair assessment. My intentions to start this thread are completely genuine.
Now that I have established some credibility (I hope), I'd like to get some help from you guys. Like I mentioned above, I'm trying to decide between SGU and Ross. I know that living conditions in SGU are A LOT better than those in Ross. But I was wondering which of the two schools will provide me with the best options for the future.
I know that Ross' USMLE pass rate is a tad better than SGU's. Last year Ross had a 99% pass rate or something close to it from what I understand. But that doesn't mean anything if students are just scoring a little over the minimum passing score. I know quite a few students (from Ross) did really well this past year. So,...what about SGU? Even with that said, I wasn't very impressed w/ Ross' residency match. SGU's, on the other hand, was very impressive.
Is education in Grenada geared towards USMLE (like it is in Ross)? How are teachers at SGU? Are class lectures posted online? How is the library and how accessible is it? How early does patient contact start at SGU? If I'm not mistaken..there's 4 semesters of basic science (in Grenada) followed by clinical sciences (here in the US)..is that correct?
Any other info that you may have which will help me choose one school over other will be appreciated. If there's something you can't post on this board, please feel free to PM me.
Thanks in advance.
