U don't need to bring either. Most apts. have them already but you can buy one on campus real cheap just in case ur apt. doesn't. good luck.

most people only need one transformer, and usually 200-300watts will suffice. It only costs $20US here. So you decide whether you want to bring one.

converters are not to be used with expensive electronics like tv's, radios, etc. they will fry

look at the print on your laptop ac adapter. it shouldn't need more than 100watts or so. you'll want a surge protector to plug into the transformer too. a US surge protector will explode if you plug it directly into the 220volts here.
