Is it F,P,HP,Honors? Or do you use a letter system?

And can someone explains the typical grade range at SABA? (i.e 75-79= P/C, 85-89 = HP/B ...etc)

Thanks

Letter system (except for informatics, which is pass/fail)
A - 90 and above
B - 80 and above
C - 75 and above
F - 74 and below
Grade range varies class to class, subject to subject, so I don't know. But it's not unusual to see mostly 85 and up, I think, since everyone shoots for a 100 percent (or, at least they should!). There isn't much of a curve in 1st semester, usually like 3 points in histo and 1 or no points in anatomy. We only get a curve if there was a bad question.

They actually post this stuff on the cork boards next to the administration above the cafeteria. Here is the current grading scale in use for Saba:

90+ A GPA: 4.0
89 B 3.9
88 B 3.8
87 B 3.7
....
80 B 3.0
79 C 2.9
78 C 2.8
77 C 2.7
76 C 2.6
75 C 2.5
74 F

Dean's list: 4.0 GPA
Honors: 3.5 - 3.99 GPA

So you get a "neighborhood" letter grade and an "exact" GPA grade...
Thanks, very informative.

No D's here...do you want your surgeon, or obstetrician being the guy who got D's?
