Everyone will tell you something different... but I received a sizeable loan from HealthXpress with very little trouble... the customer service was excellent and the rates were very good.

HealthXpress does not disclose its credit score requirements -- But they do say that depending on what your credit looks like you will be placed in one of their interest 'tiers'.
They have 8 tiers ranging from (2.55% to 3.95%) + LIBOR.
If you do not qualify in Tier 1 or 2, then you will also pay a supplemental fees of 3%, 6%, or 9% at repayment.
Having a co-borrower is not going to help you SECURE (Pre-Approve)the LOAN in the first place, but if you are approved under your own credit first, the having a Co-borrower with equal or better credit score will help you get the INTEREST RATE down.
Transunion, Equifax and Experian are all used in Credit Check. They are all not used together, but when you apply for a loan, one of these three agencies is contacted randomly and they obtain your credit score that way.
I have no idea on what their Tier 1 requirements are, but I am sure someone else can add to this.
Thanks,
International

I was approved for tier 2 and my credit is good, but I do not have car payments or mortgage payments, so they must base it mainly on credit cards. I think tier 2 is very attainable for a responsible student who has minimal balance on their credit cards... The only reason I did not get tier 1 was because I did not have a cosigner.
