Is it true that if you dont have both organic chemistry's 1 and 2 that you wont get licencure in some stats in the USA?

Why would that be a requirement?

It is partialy true. The exception is that you can usually substitute Biochemistry for O Chem 2. Otherwise, yes, you need both chemistries to get licensed in about 6-7 states.

Yes for the future better to have all prereqs done than be denied lic. based on that.

i have orgo 1 and biochem...so am i ok, or should i opt to take orgo 2?

whuds...you do your homework man! you save everyone a lot of time. I guess the states dont specify how much chemistry they want...which kinda sux. Do you know of any states that specifically say...1 year of orgo etc..

Do you know of any states that specifically say...1 year of orgo etc.. No they are basic, biochem is a form of Organic Chem so that should count in the states that want "study" in Organic chem.

1 semester of O chem and 1 semester of biochem is usually sufficient since biochem is considered an organic chemistry. But overall, they do want 1 year of each of the required subjects.

I know you asked BTS but Orgo 1 + Biochem = 1 year of organic so I would say no.

If you have Orgo 1 and biochem then you should be fine.
