I am looking for a place to stay in Luton, I was told by a couple of people that a cheaper option than CRS is to go with some other letting agencies...

I looked at the housing sticky that is posted above, but I am not sure exactly what houses are close to the school

I want to stay in a place that is 5-10 min walk from the school...

I am also not sure what areas in Luton I should "stay away from"

So could someone help me out? I am looking for a furnished 1 person flat/suite/apt whatever its called. Thanks

Ultimate connections and Student Accomodation are pretty accustomed to St. Chris students and their needs. If you call them and tell them exactley what you want, they will help you find a place. However, please make sure and see the place before you commit. Standards in England are not the same as in the US. You may be surprised with what you get.

I do not think I see the place more than just pictures. I am planning on attending at the end of the month, and I need to get a place so that I can apply for a visa...so I am going to have to judge just based on pictures

Also, how can I know what area is good and what is bad, based on saftey?

ask the letting agents. The will usually try and help put you in a decent area. Most places within 5 minutes of the school are very safe. I would also focus on living north of campus... that is the better area IMO.

and I need to get a place so that I can apply for a visa... I was under the impression that you could use the schools UK address for a visa application. I could be wrong though.
