I received admission for the January class at St. Christopher's, trying to figure out whether I should attend or not. On the whole, what do the student's there feel about the school. How similar is it to life in the States. Also, I love to go out and socialize.... are the studies there really tough or do students have healthy social lives.... thanks!

I am in the same situation that you are currently in with being accepted to the January 2006 start date. Although I do not have first hand experience with St. Christopher's, I feel that the school has a solid foundation and would be an awesome place to study medicine.

Well which program?
For 6yr yes lots of time
For 4yr yes some time, Medical school is demanding no matter where you go.
Once the first 2 years are over in the 6yr program you will have to spend more time studying.
Life in England is not that bad a little different from the states but you get used to it. Pubs are everywhere as well as casinos. London has everything you could want and it is only 30 minutes by train.

Hi,

St Chris fosters a really non-competitive enviornment due to the Pass/Fail system, so the school is really friendly (in general). Many people socialize and go out after exams or on a free weekend. There are a lot of bars and clubs in town that people go to and some nights people even choose to go to London instead. It is only 20 minutes away, so it is not that big of a deal. Know the train times though, cause the weekend gets a bit tricky on the Underground and the Thameslink.

Good luck

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. A lot of people do make a long weekend of the weekend after exams and go traveling. It is very cheap to travel around europe. It is also extremely convenient since Luton Airport is a hub for european travel and easyjet's home airport. RyanAir has deals all the time to fly to many euopean destination for like 1 pounds or even less. Easyjet is also pretty cheap. Check out their websites:
