I will be in Belize Sept 06 and will be taking my spouse and daughter. Are there any job opportunities for a spouse with a degree (MBA, Healthcare managment)?

so which school will you be going to, CAHSU or MUA-Belize? i got the impression CAHSU from your other post, but this thread is on MUA-Belize.well i can speak with some experience here, being that my wife was bored out of her mind in belize. she read books all day, but you can only do that so long before you go nuts. by the time we left we had a worker's visa for her (for free, a nice connection). usually i think it would cost some considerable money. i don't think she'd make very much out there. jobs are scarce, taxes are high, and gov'ts not too stable.

I figured it wouldn't be a good idea. I will be attending MUA. I have heard that there is a lot to do and then some say it's boring. I guess whatever it may be it won't be for a long period of time. I am sure my husband will find something to do. If it were up to a man he would fish all day, I guess now is the time......

This is Dr. Z., Dean of Students at MUA. Welcome aboard. The University of Belize sometimes has vacancies for part time professors or maybe the Ministry of Health might also need someone with your husband's experience. Never say never. Whenever he comes down to Belize, he can do a little bit more research and maybe something might come up. Probably in the first few months there might not be a vacancy, but who knows, you might be surprised.
As for you, I hope to see you soon. I assure you that our professors will prepare you well on that journey in becoming a medical doctor.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at jrzuniga@gmail.com
Thanks
Dr. Z
