Hi All,

adding things to my packing list and i was just wondering where students throw their weekly trash. do the cleaning maids take the trash out of the rooms, or is there a trash shoot in the dorms? also, should we bring our own trashcans, or is there one in each kitchen? thanks!

the maids come twice a week to clean up after us and take out the trash. Us medical students are too busy to clean up after ourselvs. or the school is getting us ready for our soon to be wealthy lives where maids clean our huge houses.

There are 2 trash cans in the dorms - one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. The cleaning women take out the trash twice a week, though if it gets smelly you can take it out yourself to the dumpster outside...

Can you even fit a trash can in a suitcase?

No worries though, the maids are nice. Just tell them to avoid the dishes though....right ndndevil? Hehe...

Haha! Nah...I was just thinking I'd have to buy one in GND when I get there. But, that's cool that the maids take care of that.

hmm...are they not good with the dishes?

sometime the maids clean the dishes wearing the same glove used for the bathroom cleaning

ewwww...that's nasty! yeah, i prefer to do my own dishes anyways...so i'll just take care of that. thanks for the info, jaywalk and babu!

not a problem. but not all cleaning ladies does this. but to be on the safe side..do ur own dishes anyway
