Hey Guys! I was just curious to know how many months after graduating from basic sciences, do Saba Students take to study for Step 1??? I heard most Caribbean students usually take 5-6 months. I was just wondering for myself since Saba is such a great school I just wanted to get an idea how many months students take to study for step 1?

thanx

Some of us took it about a month after leaving the island. Some people take longer. The school recommends that you take no more than 3 months.
5-6 months is WAY too long. You have to guage it on how disciplined you are and how well you do in basic sciences.

Remember that you don't study for the USMLE after you leave the island. Your entire time on Saba, your studies for class, all of it is studying for Step 1. Don't waste your time on Saba just trying to scrape by and barely pass the classes - you'll pay for it come USMLE time.

Best of luck!

HAHAHAH!!!
What about those of us who studied 2 weeks for step 1? Does that mean 2 days for Step 2? Are we exempt from Step 3?
