-i ordered my books for term 2 at the end of last term, and am now realizing i shouldn't have gotten as many as i did (since im reading that many of them are not needed/useful). does anyone know if we're able to "un-buy" these books? im guessing it's a no but just thought i'd ask.
-also, does anyone have any suggestions for what review books to get, if any, for term 2? im not a person who absolutely needs review books (i didnt use any 1st term except for anatomy...and that was through the library and only for the questions...which i didnt have that much time for anyway) but if there are particularly helpful ones out there for the tougher courses (neuro, physio), i'd be interested in extra resources.
(and yes ive run a search but only seem to find 1st term supplemental books)
-lastly, i know this is a very 1st termerish question to ask but, what is term 2 like in terms of school supplies...will we get lots of handouts/companions or should we invest in good old notebooks, binders and all that stuff?
thanks a bunch!

i think there are a few threads on this. try running a search. its the best thing to do now as many upper termers are still on break and dont check vmd as often anymore

-doubt u will be able to unsell those books, since your copy is probably already or on its way to grenada. u can sell the book in other ways tho. i didn't even touch the physio textbook or neuro textbook. you WILL need to memorize the immuno text.
-term 2 review books --> BRS Physio, High Yield Neuro. The BRS Neuro is way too big and you won't feel like reading it. You can buy High Yield Immuno but it's really not necessary, don't waste ur time and really spend time with her textbook.
-an extra resource for physio would be the bigger Constanzo book. (BRS Physio is written by the same other)
-physio will give u good handouts that u can just put in any size binder. neuro will give u handouts also but they are one of the worst, oh well still know them cold.

so if the handouts for neuro suck and you say we dont need to get any textbook other then high yield neuro which is basically a review book..can we still do well just by goin to class and going over her lecture material and handouts?

so i am somewhat confused. for physio, is it the brs cases and problems book, or is there something else as well? I bought the cases and problems book. thanks!

yeah, u can still do well with the notes and HY Neuro, not that there is any other choice. The profs for neuro are not the greatest, and the course needs some upgrading. Spend an equal amount of time with all 3 subjects in term 2; don't just concentrate on physio.
GAgirl, the physio book u bought is all cases, which helps but u really need the BRS Physio book, it has a light blue cover. Go to this link, u will probably need to copy and paste:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0781739195/qid=1122574917/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_sbs_1/002-8589224-6689662?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
The other book that can help u is the Physiology (Saunders text and Review Series) also by Constanzo here:

You can not "un-order" your books that you bought from the school - there is a clause in the contract that you sign that you are responsible for paying for them if you order them whether you pick them up or not.
Neuro gives out notes half a term at a time, so you need a bigger binder (2"+), where physio gives out notes only a section at a time, so you can choose if you want a smaller binder to bring to class, or a larger one to store them all eventually.

That's the one that they used last term... Dr. S. was saying all last term that she has a new book at the publishers and that we would be required to buy that book when it came out...

ok cool so i got the right book. Man I am glad I didn't pay the full price for it, cause the book doesn't seem like its worth the $65 that the school wants for it.

ok so to reiterate, it's advisable to get BOTH brs' for physio-- the light blue one as well as the cases? or is one more important than the other? not too thrilled about having to buy both so any recommendations are very appreciated!

I got the purple costanzo and the light blue BRS. The purple one is best to clarify topics but the blue is good to annotate in and the questions were helpful too. I also got the physio pretest which I found really helpful. Sure, there were a few errors but getting together in a group and hashing through the questions together clarified alot of topics and made sure you knew your stuff. Physio is all about concepts, concepts, concepts. You really have to understand the material. Memorizing will not get you very far in the course.

by "purple constanzo," vtrain means the bigger constanzo book, the saunders text series.
but no, you do not need the cases BRS book. so don't bother with it. brs physio and the purple book will help supplement ur stuff in class. go to physio class, listen to the concepts and get them down!
