It seems like they require a shitload of expensive texts. What ones would I actually use? Can anyone help with this?

Get high yield histo and Neuro, these are excellent. I personally liked BRS anatomy. it was my anatomy Bible. But the BRS of all BRS's is physiology by costanzo. this book defies description in usefulness. I have used it time and time again, even after wearing it out during physio class. Later down the road you should get the other bitchin BRS, BRS path. Pure butter.

I liked the high-yield Behavioural Science, neuroanatomy, and for later in your clinical years (the OB/GYN high-yield.

BRS Anatomy, BRS path, BRS physio are musts which you cannot do without.

We're speaking mostly of review books.....some textbooks are required during first and second semesters. Just wait till you get to the island to see if you can get any used ones. There are always the handouts which you will get during lectures so dont' worry too much about not having your textbooks for the first day of class.

I thought I was the only one who thought this book was outstanding, by the way for all of you that will be taking step 2, high yield Ob/gyn is about all you need for that section of the test. Its only 150ish pages and it condenses all of ob/gyn. if you know this book you will look like a stud on your rotation also.
