View Full Version : Rain Gear For August Term..

Ok, I know its gonna be raining all the time for the people going for teh august term and I know umbrellas are no good and we should bring a raincoat. What type of raincoat should we bring?? the big ones that also keep you warm or the thin plastic kind that just waterproofs your body without any insulation? A picture or place where you guys bought it would be appreciated. Also, does it ever get cold there duing the august season?

hi, well my mother was a school crossing guard and if u can go to one of the shops that sell sthose yellow rain coats, u will be good. i live in NY and that rain coat saved my mother everytime it rained and she would come back dry. hopefully this helps.

it never gets cold here. the coldest it gets is like 80.

is it really going to be raining alot? well thats gonna be horrible if I am wearing flip flops!!...But I know when it rains it rains for maybe the most 10minz...is that how it is during the rainy season too?...if it is then I guess we can wait till the rain stops to get where we have to get...

right now its not raining much but in june and july when it rains it really rains! its a lot worse than the rain during the dry season. it comes down in sheets and out of nowhere. most of the time it rains for about 15-20 mins and then it clears. but there were a few days in june and july that it was just all downpour from morning to evening..nasty weather.

Rainy season is MISERABLE!!!!! The one good thing to come out of Ivan was not having to spend a full rainy season down on the island. From Aug to Nov is HOT HOT HOT and HUMID and the mosquitos are terrible!!! Suppose to get better in the dry season, but this last one was weird- last only a couple of months and rain started coming in March- by June is would sometimes rain the whole day.

of course! it might get a lil nasty but it only rains for a bit and then the sun comes back out. but wouldnt wear them if u are going to the anatomy lab
