Hey everyone. I searched for this topic but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for. I was wondering how many people that finish are matched with a residency right away and how many have had to wait. I was also wondering if there are affiliated hospitals where you can do all of your core electives at the same place or does everyone usually move around alot? Any input would be so helpful! Thanks!

Hi Pumpedup
There are affiliated hospitals where you can do most of your cores, but these are usually reserved for people with families for whom moving would be a significant hardship. People with a high GPA and high Step 1 score also get priority.
Most of the people in my class matched into a residency right away - of those who graduated. Some people wanted to take time off and some needed to, so not everyone graduated on time. I moved around a lot so I could get all my cores done with little time in between so I could get my Step 2 out of the way and get going with my electives.
I can't give you numbers, but I hope this helped a little.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could possibly get me in contact with someone who is either practicing in the US or doing their residency that is a Saba grad, that would be a huge help! Thank you!

That info is right in front of you... Go to Saba's website and their residency match list, and there are a plethora of email addy's of residents and docs in the US.

I tried those emails many times and they either 1) too busy to check their email; 2) don't check their email at all; or 3) emails are not working.
