How many students are going to be attending SMU in Fall of 2005? Are most students staying in residence hall or looking for off campus housing?

Jazzcat,

I'm a first semester at St. Matt's right now and I've HEARD anywhere from 160 to 200 students for the fall semester. Hope this helps. Later.

I heard close to 200.

I just want to make a small comment. When I 1st arrived here (3 semesters ago) the school had about 60-80 students per semester. However since then every incomming semester has at least 100 students, with the Fall 04' class being the largest at 160 or so

Boy is the school growing fast....it is obvious that there is a reaosn why many more medical students are choosing SMU !

Best of luck everyone.

I hear you Charger,

The current first semester class has about 70 students. I think the word is spreading about the great quality of educucation SMU is providing.

Hopefully the selection (admissions) criteria will increase with the increased interest, rather than just admitting everyone who applies. I know it's a business, but... Maybe too, SMU will be better able to improve their system/faculty/etc due to the increased revenue. We'll see. :)

I think they are working on it. I also know of somebody who got accepted for this Fall 2005 and his interview was pretty hard, they ask a lot of specific questions. This will give you an idea of how they are changing their policy of accepting anybody. ;)

the 160 to 200 students is with transfers included, not only the first semester...
