Does anyone know of any reference letter collection service in Canada (or even in the US, that Canadians can use). My university doesn't have one, but I'd like to find one so I don't have to keep on bugging my professors to send in reference letters.

Thanks for the help,

Tintin.

i've used these guys to translate foreign degrees - and they seem to be pretty intergrated horizontally... www.wes.org (http://www.wes.org)

if not, google similar companies - u might find someone who runs this dossier service for a fee. if u find out - do let us know.

Thanks for the response...a reference letter collection service (that's the best name I can come up with) is a third party that accepts reference letters from professors, doctors, etc. and sends them out on the request of the applicant. This is so the applicant doesn't have to keep going back to the source (professor, doctor, etc.) and nag them for more letters to more places.

Hope this makes sense; some universities have this type of service so all you do is ask the professor to send one letter to the 'collection service' and then ask the 'collection service' to send copies to school a, school b, school c...

Thanks again, I'm still looking, I'll let you know if I find something.

I'm using INTERFOLIO.COM. It's been working great so far. A one year fee of $15 applies. It costs $5 to send a bundle to each school. What I meant by that is you can send as many letters as you want to a single school and pay only $5 each time.

I also used Interfolio and was very happy with them.

Thank you all, MDPower, Drake, Stacey,

I just registered with interfolio (which I believe is the same as referencenow, or maybe affiliated with?) and it was very easy and user friendly.

All I have to do is give a request form to my references and they then send that form with their letter of recommendation to interfolio. Interfolio stores the letter for as long as you pay for (the rates are on their site, I paid $75 for a 10 year membership) and whenever you need the letter sent, you just log on and send it for a fee.

I'd rather pay the fee than keep going up to my profs asking them to send out more letters to more places (I really hate bothering them so much, I feel like such a pest each time).

Thanks again,

Tintin.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread...but I contacted SGU in regards to this before reading this thread. In any case, they replied "No, we do not accept Interfolio.com. The letters need to come to us on university/business letterhead"

So I guess I am going to have to bug the professors again.

Has anyone had a different experience lately? Thanks.

If your professors use an original letterhead, that should be fine...they just make copies of it.
