View Full Version : Textbook shipping question!!!!

Hello,

Have you guys already ordered your textbooks? Did you ship them to your house, and then ship them to the campus? I am worried that amazon.com might screw up my order so I think that I am going to get them shipped to my house first. How should I ship (fed ex, UPS,etc) them from my house to the campus? I called intermar and they said that they only ship to the Dominican Republic?

Hey JJ,
I'm just going to fill my suitcase with the 40 lbs of textbooks and the rest of the 30 pounds will go towards everything else. My wife doesn't want to let me use her 70 pound luggage limit for my stuff, oh well. :?

I actually sent my stuff directly to AUC from Amazon.com...I am holding my breath that it will all get there, but I CANNOT take them with me. I have too many other things that I am bringing. There is no way I would have room for my books - I am bringing my cat and dog with me too!

Hopefully everything will end up okay!

Am I the only brave/stupid soul carrying 40 pounds of textbooks? Oh well, it already shipped to my house today.....

We needed every ounce of our luggage weight to get moved down here, but if you know how to pack light, it will pay off in the end. :)

Jon, you are still staying with us when you get here, right?

How many do we need to prepare for? You and your wife and.... any pets or anything? Just let me know what we can do to help. we can prolly pick you up at the airport, depending on when you're arriving, and can help you find a cheap rental car, too.

Send me a PM if you want. And remind me of the dates. I have them written on my calendar at home, but I am at school right now, and don't remember offhand.
