We had a camera man on campus today taking video shots of the students and the school. Scuttlebut has it that he is from CNN and is getting video for a story on why students attend off-shore med schools. I heard a similiar report from AUC students a few months ago, I wonder if it is the same thing?
Hopefully, if true, the story will be positive and help quality IMGS and good off-shore schools gain the respect they deserve.
Salutations:
Wow, that would be very exciting indeed if it is from CNN. Hopefully, it will educate people to the quality of Caribbean graduates. Ciao.

Let's hope that's what that was and not some crazy story making up stuff about how people are getting substandard training...
BTW I'm in clinicals now and we're very competitive. I've even teaching others some stuff on my first rotation. Go Saba!

Maybe they are getting ready to film "MED SCHOOL SURVIVORS"...pick out a few of you and put you on an island and study to take the USMLEs...wait, you are already doing that....hmmmmm......who is that guy then?

I never saw any camera. What day was it? Around what time? I haven't even heard rumor of such event. On Saba, if I haven't heard about it by now, then I am a little skeptical.

Don't be too modest. Give yourself some credit. I'm sure Saba is a great school, but it also takes dedicated individuals to succeed. Ciao.

Yea I saw the camera guy running around today as well. He should have filmed the smoker's outpost group for a special on COPING with offshore medical schools. Academic stress combined with a feeling of isolation and entrapment = pack a day....

hahahahaha.. that is true I am sure..
BTW .. I think it is great that CNN has decided to air something like this. What ever their take is on this topic.. I am sure there will be good coming out of it at the end -- for SABA.. coz.. as long as you present the facts.. there is no way.. you could say SABA is a bad choice !!! Right !!!!

No way dude...that would be Ross...primitive island, dumb competition, yucky stuff to eat, lots of animals (mainly the ones on campus) lol
Yes the stinkster is right. Ross is survivor island. Somebody should post a picture of themselves before Ross basic science and after ross basic science.

Any questions

Yes, the camera guy was on the island,
He talked to a number of students including SGA... He is not directly affiliated with CNN, but he is putting a story together about IMGs and how they can help with the shortage of docs back in the states... he also indicated that the footage he gathered maybe for two separate stories one on CNN and the other on PBS... he promised to let us (SGA) know when they will be aired and we'll pass it on...
