Brand of Miscroscope

MitchDC or any current and previous Ross student,

Since we have to purchase our own microscope, if you were to do/start over, what brand of microscope would you purchase differently; if so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't do anything differently. The Accuscopes are very nice scopes and widely used throughout the medical profession. The Olympus is also very nice. The brand doesn't much matter as long as it has the same specs and allows you to use oil-immerson 100x.

I should have been a little more specific. Say, you want to keep the microscope, which brand would have better durability?

Nikon E200 or E400! You won't be sorry(hey Jon, vouch for me on this!).

Either of the ones I mentioned would be fine. Then again, I can't tell for sure since I've only had mine for a year.
