Does anybody have any recommendations on where to stay when visiting the campus? Which of the hotels listed on the website are within walking distance to campus?

Another suggestion would be the Summit.

Yeah, back in the day I booked Summit hotel via Excite foe $49/night. It was nice enough...and the french toast at the kissing fish is great :D Also, sometimes the Caravanserai is $59 if you book through USAir.com

Thanks for the advice. I might give Summit a try.

Any idea who would be a good faculty member to meet with, or does it not really matter?

If you need a good price for Summit I found one of comparehotels.com for $75.00 a night. This includes two beds. Thats the best price I found on the internet for the Summit.

For those of you who have traveled to St Maarten, what was required for entry other than a passport? The embassy website says you also need proof of medical insurance and proof of sufficient funds. Would a standard insurance card be sufficient? How do you show proof of sufficient funds? Are they even strict on this?

Thanks,
