I should have my app sent in via internet by the end of the week. I have been told I will then get an advisor assigned to me to help with the rest of the application. I assume the earlier you turn in your app, the better. I am applying for the January 2006 semester. Am I early enough to get a jump start on the competition? Or are there are enough students being rolled over from August 2005 semester, that it won't help as much?

The best thing to do is apply as quick as you can. It always helps to get yours in early. My husband applied and got in 1 month before the start of Aug 04 so sometimes it doesn't matter when only your scores and GPA. Good luck and I hope to see you in Jan 06!

u should be fine. Just keep calling to see if all your stuff arrives. And keep sending if they keep losing it.

Apply as soon as you can and make you sure phone often to check the status of your app

They quicker the better. But as far as I know, there are usu. less students in the Jan class. I think that should help you as well. Most want to start in the Fall.

Oh yeah, call them often. It helps to keep you fresh in their minds and shows your interest. Plus, then you get a better idea of when they will actually look at your completed file and about when you should have an answer on acceptance.

Be sure to act really nice to them. It's just smart to do so, since they're handling your applications.

Oh don't worry, I'm gonna be doing me some butt smooching. AUC is my #2 choice behind SGU, but it's more like a 1B behind SGU's 1A. It just so happens that I started on my AUC app before the others, so it'll be the first one done. I'll try to have the app sent out tomorrow (all I have left is to contact my LOR writers to make sure I can put them down). Then I'll have to send my photos along with my signature page, and get my MCAT and transcripts sent to them. I was just concerned that I was already too late as I've seen people already being admitted.
Anybody know when I should hear something if I get my app completed this week?

Within a few weeks, though phone every week, and the counselor should phone you when you've been accepted before you get your acceptance package, at least that's been done for a few around here, myself included.

Once your application is completed, you should here something from them in a few weeks.
I received an acceptance letter 2 weeks after my application was completed.
