I usually don't hear of people on waitlists for AUC. But things might have changed way back when.........

I thought the AUC waitlist was the rollover list?

Apparently ,those who were offered a seat for Aug 05 and did not send in their deposit on time according to the admissions depart. were put on the waiting list

Actually, no.
My primary question was if anyone has been put on the wait list for Aug 05.
My response to the others was to clarify what the wait list meant at AUC:)

Admissions Dept said that the incoming class (as of today) is 150!

that was about the size of the sept class of 2004. not bad.

which means another 147 whiny med students to go along with the previous Sept class of 147 minus a few who left.
Be sure to start another petition, that'll really go well with the profs and the new Dean ;)

I am still waiting to hear from AUC about september class. Does anyone know if 150 means its full? Basically, would it be wise for me to go ahead and tell the school to push my application for Janaury?

No dude, why would you tell the school anything? They'll either take you for September or automatically bump you to January. Just relax...you'll be fine.

No. You gotta tell them what to do. Remember, you gotta achieve dominance!! And if they give you any lip, start taking off that belt.

I appreciate the replys, but My basic concern is not being pushed to january. Instead it is that since it is getting so close to August do i have enough time to get a decent plane ticket, stuff together, find an apartment, fin aid..etc for the sept class? For instance if I don't here from AUC by August 10 should I tell them to move my app to another semester? How much time should one allow themselves to get everything together in the states and on St.Marteen?

my friend did it within 2 weeks. He applied late... got accepted late but still managed to get everything together in time(although he was still clueless when he got to SXM)

They had to take some time to decide if taking a guy who swims was really the best thing...

I applied in late april, called them about 5 times to see what was going on with my app, told I was in, got a letter a week later saying 'welcome to jan 06'... I applied for the aug 05 class... the only problem I have is having to do all my loan apps again, because of the jan start and not the aug start.
See you all in Jan
